Sometimes we are just downright exhausted...Our cup, more than empty.
And, it's in these moments that we may realize that we need self-care and have absolutely no idea what to do.
Because we're tired...we're grouchy...sometimes we're even overwhelmed...
We hear about self-care all the time...
Mani/Pedis
Massages
Acupuncture appointments
Bubble baths
and more...
But what if these options don't work for you?
What if you need something deeper? Something more aligned to your needs in the moment?
It can be difficult and overwhelming to figure out exactly what you need right then and there.
Making a decision like this in the moment can feel like crazy-making. I know because I've been there...
Me:
Should I take a nap?
Should I call that friend?
Should I snuggle up in bed and watch The Notebook?
Also, Me:
F*ck it, I'll just have some cookie dough because I clearly don't know what I want/need right now anyway and I'm too freaking tired to figure it out.
I would give up with frustration and in this frustration found myself in unhealthy coping mechanisms.
But, here's the thing, it doesn't have to be that way...
Believe it or not, we CAN skip over all this crazy-making to figure out exactly what we need...IN THE MOMENT.
All we need is one simple tool to help us make a quick, aligned decision. A tool that I've been using myself for almost a year now...
