I think we can all agree that in order to be a better version of ourselves, we need to know how to navigate the world of emotions gifted to us.

In other words, to become the best version of ourselves we need a sense of emotional safety and that is exactly what Dr. Michelle Natinsky and I dug deeper into this week on The Stress Less Show.

For parents, this looks like creating an emotional foundation for our children so that they can feel supported and as happy as possible. That’s become especially true during this pandemic.

All of us, our children included, need to have a space where we feel free to explore our emotions so that we can make it to that next stage of life. Whatever that looks like for us.

NO! That is going to be the least of our concerns, right?

The same thing goes for us adults - that promotion doesn't compare to us having our basic human needs met.

So maybe we need to start at the beginning...

Going back to the basics by creating a sense of emotional safety for ourselves and our children one baby step at a time.
